1:00 - 2:00 p.m. (CT) - with Robert Toth, Laurel Stoncius and Jessica Anderson

In the first hour of this presentation, Rob Toth, Laurel Stoncius and Jessica Anderson will discuss new updates for employee handbooks including AI, the Pregnant Worker’s Fairness Act and medical cannabis. In the second hour, Kasey Cappellano and Meaghan Gandy will discuss the application of law and handbook policies to knotty problems that regularly arise in day-to-day management of employees. This presentation will cover numerous topics including the following: Political speech in the workplace; regulating off duty conduct; FMLA leave issues; LGBTQIA and transgender employees in the workplace; DEI plans; and the interaction of state and federal leave laws.
