Rachel has quickly become a critical force in several diverse areas of the firm’s national litigation practice and has developed valuable expertise in several of the firm’s litigation practice groups. Rachel advocates for firm clients in complex litigation, arbitrations, mediations and protests against both private and governmental adversaries, with an emphasis in shareholder/constituent disputes, government contract disputes, managed care procurements, challenges to adverse decisions by government agencies, breach of contract disputes, healthcare litigation, and business tort claims.

Rachel has undertaken significant roles in the firm’s multi-state procurement and bid protest practice. In the last year alone, she has assisted firm clients with state procurement contract awards in Iowa, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska, and played a key role in the firm’s successful protest of a multimillion-dollar government contract award in the managed care arena. 

Rachel plays a vital role in complex commercial litigation in various industries. She has contributed significantly to the firm’s successful opposition to motions to dismiss clients’ tortious interference, fiduciary duty, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, trade secret misappropriation, civil conspiracy and breach of non-compete claims, among others. Rachel also assists the firm in defending investment firms and investment advisors against private claims under the Securities Act and FINRA. 

Rachel advises firm client healthcare professionals such as dentists, chiropractors, doctors, and pharmacists, in licensing and credentialing actions, non-compete disputes, shareholder or LLC member litigation, office lease issues, and the like. She helps the firm’s clients navigate negotiations and administrative actions with various government agencies, such as the Farm Service Agency, USDA, and Health and Human Services departments.
