The Government Affairs team within the Insurance Regulatory Group includes lobbyists who have been appearing before state legislatures for a combined total of more than 50 years. Members of the Government Affairs team regularly represent clients in the insurance industry before the Arizona legislature and are actively involved in the drafting and promotion of legislation. The Government Affairs team includes major national insurance carriers and trade associations among its clients and has championed legislative and policy issues in areas including healthcare, workers’ compensation insurance, taxation, and regulatory policy.
The Government Affairs team is also equipped to assist clients in building lobbying and advocacy relationships in other jurisdictions. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying and coordinating with organizations to file amicus briefs in appeals and consulting on insurance legislation.
