For 60 years, Kutak Rock has committed itself to creating a supportive, inclusive and equitable work environment. We are proud to present our 2024 Inclusive Engagement Annual Report, detailing this past year’s progress and achievements in living up to the forward-thinking ideals set forth in the firm’s founding charter—and meeting the current needs of our firm members and clients.
In our second installment of “Connections: Building Strong Teams and Communities,” the report provides an overview of activities and initiatives in four core areas: building strong teams and connections; diversity, equity and inclusiveness; affinity groups (ERGs); and career support/well-being.
“Kutak Rock’s strategic efforts have been a consistent, steady march toward something better—better client service, better demographic representation, better career support, better personal engagement, better flexibility and better mental health in an often high-stress work environment,” said firm Chair John Petr.
Firm Vice Chair Hilary Jackler added, “There is no magical finish line at the end of this march, and we believe our founders knew, and expected, that we would pick up where they left off and continue to strive toward the ideals they set down in our visionary founding charter, which included treating everyone with respect and equality of opportunity.”
From its founding in 1965 to today, Kutak Rock has striven to promote equity and effect meaningful systemic change for and among its attorneys and staff and the communities in which its members live and serve.
