Mark, who is an M&A attorney practicing out of the Omaha office and living in Colorado, was inspired to serve in the Army by several important men in his life who made the same commitment. He fulfilled his desire to serve our country by reaching the rank of colonel in the judge advocate general (JAG) corps as an Army reservist. A West Point graduate, Mark is also in the firm’s firearms group.
Jake attributes his work ethic, integrity, and ability to “adapt and overcome” to his time in the military where he absorbed the Army’s core values and earned the rank of sergeant. Today he is a healthcare and employee benefits attorney in Minneapolis and says those core values play a huge role in his legal practice.
Jay spent 14 years on active duty as an Air Force judge advocate general (JAG), reaching the rank of colonel, and continues to serve in the Air Force Reserve. Learn how community service has been central to this public finance partner—both in his civilian multifamily housing practice and his military career.
Erika is a colonel and an Air Force judge advocate general (JAG) currently serving as the state judge advocate for the Nebraska Air National Guard. She explains how escaping communism as a child during the Cold War inspired her to devote her career to protecting the U.S. Constitution—both in the courtroom and in the field. She is also a partner in Kutak Rock’s public finance practice with a focus on municipal bonds.
