Kutak Rock LLP opened its first office in Southern California in April 1990 and currently has offices in Los Angeles and Irvine. 
The Los Angeles office serves client needs in finance, public finance and litigation.
Some of the attorneys’ accomplishments include:
- Representing a major financial guaranty insurer in connection with the issuance of $6,313,500,000 State of California Department of Water Resources Power Supply Revenue Bonds, Series 2002A.
- Representing several cities sued on the basis of alleged violations of the First Amendment rights of religious organizations under recent federal legislation entitled the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA).
- Obtaining a $2 million judgment on behalf of an insurance company in a dispute over coverage for professional liability. See Reliance Ins. Co. v. Doctors’ Co. (299 F. Supp. 2d 1131)
- Assisting in nationwide defense of more than 50 secondary mortgage litigation putative class-action matters, the majority of which were successfully defended at the pleadings stage.
- Representing a major financial guaranty insurer in connection with a $70 million class-action suit against First Alliance Mortgage Company by its former borrowers.
