Robert J. Kutak, Harold L. Rock and William G. Campbell established what is now known as Kutak Rock LLP in Omaha, Nebraska in 1965. Graphic Omaha MainWhat began in a small office on the sixth floor of the Omaha National Bank Building in the heart of downtown Omaha has grown to become Nebraska's largest law firm, with more than 140 attorneys and associated professionals and approximately 160 staff members.

Today, the firm's Omaha office is housed in an 11-story historic landmark known today as The Omaha Building.  Built in 1889 by the New York Life Insurance Company, the building design is the creation of architect Stanford White of the renowned McKim, Mead & White firm.

White used Italian Renaissance elements for the structure’s elegant façade.

In 2006 and 2007 Kutak Rock undertook a full renovation of The Omaha Building.  The firm replaced all of the building’s infrastructure, reconfigured its signature atrium and restored original interior features that had been covered up for decades.
