Upon seeing the success of the Little Rock, Arkansas office, the firm wanted to further expand its public finance services. On March 1, 1989,
Kutak Rock LLP became the first national law firm to open an office in the State of Oklahoma and continues to be the only national law firm with an office in the state. It is also the only law firm in the state with a nationally recognized public finance tax department.
The streamlined Oklahoma City office has access to the firm's national resources and has produced numerous local results. Some of these results include:
- Formulating financing programs for state agency and investment banking clients in the State of Oklahoma and neighboring jurisdictions.
- Representing the Oklahoma Student Loan Authority and the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency in numerous financings since 1989.
- Serving in various capacities in connection with several significant financings for major health care systems, institutions of higher education, public power authorities, research foundations and other public entities and facilities.
