The Kansas City office opened on April 1, 1994, when Fallon and Sappington merged with Kutak Rock LLP to start a health care practice in the Firm. 
Since then, the office has grown significantly, housing approximately 30 attorneys. Attorneys in this office practice in the areas of health care, public finance, litigation, employment, structured finance, corporate, tax and bankruptcy.
Through the Kansas City office, the Firm:
- Has provided long-term representation of community-based, nonprofit acute-care hospitals.
- Represents the board of trustees for the largest hospital in Kansas City’s metropolitan area.
- Represented one of the nation's largest pharmacy-buying associations in its "going-private" transaction.
- Has created and implemented more than $1 billion in off-balance sheet asset repackagings.
