Kutak Rock LLP is a national firm of approximately 400 lawyers with offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Des Moines, Fayetteville, Irvine, Kansas City, Little Rock, Los Angeles, Oklahoma City, Omaha, Philadelphia, Richmond, Scottsdale, Washington, D.C. and Wichita. The firm has represented hundreds of state and local governmental units, a substantial number of Fortune 500 corporations, every major investment banking firm in the United States, major European, Asian and domestic money-center banks, insurance companies, national real estate investors and developers, major national franchising enterprises and numerous other financial institutions and businesses.
The key to Kutak Rock's success has been the firm's unrelenting efforts to attract to the firm the most qualified and accomplished lawyers available. Over many years the firm has assembled a roster of attorneys who have the expertise the firm's clients need in order to operate their organizations most profitably. Recognizing the critical need to make such expertise available to all Kutak Rock clients who may require it, the firm's managers have installed a sophisticated computer network that links all attorneys, and virtually all staff members, with electronic mail and instantaneous document-sharing capabilities. Although a specialist in an esoteric area of law may reside in an office on one of the coasts, for example, an attorney in Omaha has quick access to that lawyer's expertise through the agency of electronic communications.

An advocate of continuing legal education, the firm provides inhouse seminars and other opportunities for its attorneys to refine and expand their expertise.
The firm strives to maintain the highest standards of professional responsibility in all its engagements. Robert Kutak, a founder of the firm, chaired the American Bar Association commission which developed the new Model Rules of Professional Conduct and rewrote ethical standards for lawyers.
The firm strongly believes in providing pro bono legal services and has committed firm resources to the representation of organizations and individuals in various areas of law on numerous occasions.
Several members of Kutak Rock have served as government officials on the federal and state levels. The attorney ranks in various offices of the firm include a former United States Senator and former officials of the Internal Revenue Service and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
